Short OH Functionalized Single Walled-Double Walled Carbon Nanotubes 1-4nm

Our Short OH Functionalized Single Walled-Double Walled Carbon Nanotubes 1-4nm are made by CCVD and purified and functionalized using concentrated acid chemistry. They are shortened by milling. Carbon Nanotubes have proven to offer a unique properties of stiffness and strength largely due to their high aspect ratio and all carbon structure. The thermal and electrical conductivity found in carbon nanotubes is very high compared to other conductive or fibrous additive materials.  Select a functionalized product when trying disperse carbon nanotubes into certain host matrices to assist in dispersion.  Carbon nanotubes are the clear choice when compared to other fiber additive materials. The introduction of oxygen groups promotes dispersion in aqueous solutions but does not mean they are water soluble.  Surfactants may be needed to stabilize dispersions in DI Water or other aqueous solvent mixtures. Please Note- We know that most of the SWNTs on the market made by CCVD, regardless of which manufacturer produces them, are not really be 90% or 99% SWNTs content.  We have seen this from several manufacturers and a recent NIST report appears to confirm this.  For this reason we classify our SWNTs as a mix of SWNTs & DWNTs
